Lille Leland: A Proper Day Out for the Disc Golfer Who Wants More

Lille Leland doesn’t scream for attention. It’s a quiet course tucked away in Lindesnes, far from the usual tournament circuits or bustling city parks. But if you're the kind of player who enjoys a bit of elevation, a few questionable decisions, and the feeling of being somewhere different, it’s worth the trip.

The course stretches across hills, woods, and open fields, with some holes feeling like a scenic hike and others more like a technical exam. There’s a good mix here—long open drives, tight forest shots, and plenty of elevation shifts to keep your legs and discs working. Some holes are forgiving, others not so much. A few will absolutely ruin your scorecard if you get lazy. That’s kind of the point.

Lille Leland runs four layouts, from red to gold, and they’ve clearly been designed with intent. You don’t feel like you’re just playing the same course with longer tees. Each version changes the character of the round. The gold layout in particular is no joke. If you're not warmed up and at least semi-confident, you'll be in for a long day.

There’s a small clubhouse on-site with snacks, drinks, and a place to chill between rounds. If you’re staying for more than a day, there’s even a cabin tucked into the course you can rent. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s part of the charm. You’re not coming here for luxury—you’re coming to throw plastic in peace, maybe cuss a bit at a bad kick, and end the day with sore legs and a decent story.

It’s not the kind of place you accidentally stumble across. You’ll have to plan your trip, book ahead, and bring what you need. But in return, you get a course that feels considered, a setting that’s pretty hard to beat, and a round that doesn’t feel like every other round you’ve played.

If you're into variety, long drives, or just want to play somewhere that feels like it's been shaped by people who care about the game, Lille Leland will do the trick. It’s not a religious experience, but it’s definitely a good day out.
